Name
Bothan Diplomatic Corps
Details
Bothan Foreign Affairs

The Bothan Diplomatic Corps is one of two aspects of government on Bothawui, alongside the Bothan Council. While the Council attends to all matters relating to the internal management of Bothan Space, the Diplomatic Corps deals with all external matters, including the appointment of representatives to the Alliance Senate, and Ambassadors to important political and trade partners. Perhaps the most significant aspect of the Diplomatic Corps is the Bothan Spynet, a trade and intelligence network that currently works in cooperation with Alliance Intelligence.

Currently, the Diplomatic Corps is let by the Senator for Bothawui: Torrsk Oruo'rel, who previously served on the Alliance Advisory Council during the Rebellion. It is unclear whether or not the Bothan First Secretary has the authority to interfere in the appointment of Bothan Senators: the division of authority between the Bothan Council and the Diplomatic Corps occurred while Bothawui was under the authority of an Imperial Moff, and as yet the First Secretary has never attempted to block a Diplomatic Corps appointment.

The headquarters of the Bothan Council is in the Intergalactic Trade Mission, located in the Bothan capital, Drev'starn.

The headquarters for the Alliance of Free Planets, formerly the Rebel Alliance. Bothawui is home to all branches of the Alliance military and intelligence services, as well as the seat of the Senate. It is also a haven for those who wish to do business in the Alliance, legal or otherwise.
