Tionne Thanewulf is a Jedi Knight, xenobiologist and a General of the Grand Army of the Republic. Designated as Jedi Sentinel, she serves aboard a fleet of ships known as The Wheel, where the remaining Jedi exert efforts to re-establish the Jedi Order. Tionne also held the position of Jedi Watchman of Corellian system until the beginning of Clone Wars. Cynical and sardonic in nature, she represents a different breed of Jedi, living ahead of her time.

Background
Tionne Thanewulf was born in 51 BBE on Coruscant, as the daughter of Snorr and Aneraah Thanewulf. Snorr's father - Harald Thanewulf - a Coruscanti born Jedi Knight was the Watchman of the Koros System somewhere around 75 BBE. Harald had a difficult personality; he was an extreme pessimist and a resident cynic, but nevertheless an apt Jedi who's efficiency and servitude to the Order remained undisputed. When the Council recognized his skill and affinity towards covert operations, he was relieved of his duty as Watchman and assigned as Jedi investrigator. For this same reason, he never took a student; spending most time offworld made the delicate selection process impossible.

However, Harald was a passionate man for a Jedi; despite the explicit prohibition of any forms of attachment the Jedi Code preached, the Knight had a secret affair with his childhood friend Tionne Ulver, who later became an accomplished astrophysicist and cosmologist teaching at the Coruscant University. Whilst the young scientist, stripped of funding, was forced into an arranged marriage with the youngest son of the Aldeerani senator, she continued seeing the Knight, consequently giving birth to Snorr. During her pregnancy, the son of the senator was killed over the gambling debts he amassed, leaving Tionne a young widow. Having heard both good and bad news, Harald rushed back to his home planet to witness the birth of his son. When he found out that Snorr was not Force-sensitive, the Knight left disappointed, unwilling to give up his calling and settle down to a quiet family life. Snorr was left in the care of his mother who technically raised him alone; it was not very often that Harald spent time with his family, both due to his duties and choice alike.

" I'm not fit to be a father, Tionne. You made a choice for both of us when you decided to keep the child. "
―Jedi Knight Harald Thanewulf to Tionne Ulver

Growing up without a father had multiple repercussions on Snorr's life; he was a sworn rationalist who disregarded the Force and followed her mother's footsteps to become a scientist. With good references and excellent academic record, Snorr secured himself a professorship in sentientology before his 26th birthday, thus breaching the former record set by his mother's mentor - the Givin mathematician Nisil Nalas. During his days as a student, Snorr developed an academic rivalry with a certain exchange student from Corulag who excelled at engineering. It was only when she won over him in the hunt for the Corusca Esteemed Scholarship that Snorr and Aneerah became close, transcending from fierce rivals to best friends. Subsequently, two of them fell in love and married in 46BBE and only a year later, they were blessed with a daughter. They named the child Tionne, in the honor of Snorr’s mother.

Padawan Training

When his granddaughter was diagnosed with substantial Force sensitivity at the tender age of one, Harald hurried back from Stark Hyperspace War to see the child. Tionne had been left in the care of her grandmother, as both Snorr and Aneraah served aboard The Vagabond, an academic exploration ship funded by the Republic. Without the consent of her parents, Harald took Tionne to the Jedi Temple, where she was accepted in the Order. Whilst on the other side of the galaxy, Snorr could do very little to prevent his father in exercising his will, hence leaving his daughter to spend her childhood within the temple walls on Coruscant.

"He objected to not having choice regarding me; yet he has made a choice for my daughter. A choice she will regret. "
― Snorr Thanewulf to his mother upon learning his father had taken his daughter to the Jedi Order without permission

From the first day, it was obvious that Tionne Thanewulf was unlike other younglings; without any delusion of grandeur that most children at the Temple had, the girl dedicated most of her time to her studies. By the age of three and a half, Tionne was able to read and write; she had mastered elementary mathematics by the age of five and even took on the role of teaching other younglings what she knew. The girl was often mocked due to her mental aptness, which aided greatly in the development of an unique sense of humor that reminded greatly of her grandfather. By her ninth birthday she had covered all major padawan training and was ready for more individual approach.

" She is not only as snide as her grandafather; I've never seen somebody reason with such sharpness and speed. I'd say she would need more...unorthodox training. "
―Demitri Drahmin in front of the Council of Reassignment regarding the training of Tionne Thanewulf

Harald had expressed his wish to train her, but the Council did not grant him this request due to fears that their inherent blood relation would affect the Knight’s objectivity. In the best interest of Tionne, the Council assigned the girl to a newly knighted Knight Demitri Drahmin. The Kiffu Jedi was completely opposite of her grandfather; calm, composed and measured – he represented a multitalented, yet humble member of the Order who, apart from his duties with the Jedi, managed to acquire a degree in general biology from Coruscant University. Snorr was relieved when he heard his daughter was to train with Drahmin whom he remembered as an excellent student from his sophomore sentientology classes. The two developed a close relationship based on understanding and trust; Harald was first suspicious of the Kiffu and his competency to train his granddaughter. It was only after Demitri’s wisdom and method had proven effective in diplomacy and battle alike that the Kiffu earned the trust of the Coruscanti Knight. Tionne was trained by Demitri until 26 BBE, when she was promoted to Knight.

Knighthood
As Knight, Tionne had been appointed Jedi Watchman of Corellia sector. She trained one student, the Corellian-born Klo-Ude Jinn, whom she picked up just before The Council of Reassignment assigned him to the AgriCorps. The two shared a close master-apprentice bond which was only amplified by their partaking in the Clone Wars; Tionne remained Watchman and acted as eyes and ears of the Jedi Order. A detailed description of events will be added at a later date.

Both Tionne and Klo-Ude survived Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge, as the Knight froze them in carbonite in a desperate self-initiate to salvage them from the fate installed on all Jedi at that time.

Skills and Abilities
Tionne Thanewulf was trained in the tradition of Jedi Sentinels; she has almost equal mastery of the Force as lightsaber skills. Having learned all Forms as apprentice, she had chosen Soresu as her primary form, complemented with Ataru as her second form.

Firm in her belief in the Living Force, Tionne shares a connection to nature and all natural. She wields a yellow-orange lightsaber bearing Solari crystals, making the weapon useless to any darksiders who would wield it.

Education
As an explicit wish of her father, Tionne completed an advanced degree in xenobiology on Coruscant University, parallel to her Jedi studies in her early adolescence. Despite her immense talent for science, the redhead considers it a hobby rather than an occupation. Nevertheless, her education has always provided her with a comparative advantage over her other Jedi colleagues; she had become renowned for her instructive methods and firm principles.
" You may do whatever you want. Drink, smoke, nibble on deathsticks, mate with whoever your heart desires. Every being is entitled to their freedom. However, if any of those jeopardize any other lives then your own, I will decapitate you. "
―Jedi Knight Tionne Thanewulf to her apprentice Akasha Khan
Family
Tionne has no living family left. Her grandmother had died of a heart attack in 30 BBE, while her mother died on board the Vagabond ten years prior to that, after being accidentally infected with the virus that causes Knowt's disease. After Aneraah's death, Snorr returned to Coruscant to teach, consequently becoming the dean of Science Academy at Coruscant University. When the Empire ascended, he was forced to proclaim superiority of humans over other sentient a scientific truth, based on a controversial research of one of his colleagues who was on the payroll of Palpatine. Snorr's resistance earned him exile from the Academy; he was charged with treason and forced to go through an orchestrated trial. Harald, who had survived Order 66, returned to Coruscant to save his son; however, he got himself captured and both men were sentenced to death and executed.
Personality and Traits
Tionne was a cynical, sarcastical relativist; with views and methods untypical for a Jedi, she stood out from the first day she was brought to the Order. She had a strong sense for honor and respected all the tenets of the Code, especially the one regarding relationships. The redhead had a great capacity to love, but it was seldom that this aptness was displayed. Instead, the Knight often resorted to irony and snide comments that earned her a reputation amongst fellow Jedi. Also, having served as Watchman, Tionne distrusted politicians and people in general, but within bounds that would be considered paranoia.
