The Empire

Tiranna in her elder body armor crafted by Radda Manthys.
Like most of the members of the famed Branch C, Tiranna was born in Coruscant and moved her family along to the Outer Rims as a result of the imperial discovery of their forbidden bloodline. She would go on to have a record-breaking eight children, without even including the monstrous Cyrus Marzullo. Not much is known from her life, apart from the accounts of her children and closest relatives, but most would describe her as ruthless, cunning and ambitious, sometimes as outright greedy.

When she returned from a visit to Albion, the Marzullo stronghold, she fell in love with the beauty of the planet and the lavish monuments and buildings, asking Itala to immediately draft her children. Just when it seemed to all go according to plan, Itala discovered the hideous Cyrus and banned her and her direct bloodline from ever setting foot on Albion, even going as far as halting the draft from branch C completely.

To add insult to injury, Marcus did not pick her as one of the three elders, considering herself to be far superior to either of three chosen and harboring deep resentment, even against her own brother Hannibal and seduced many of the Branch C younglings into despising Itala and his followers.

Dante's Revolution

Tiranna and children meet Radda Manthys and Dante before the start of the civil war.
Resentful, Tiranna spent years trying to figure out a way to deny Itala of the family throne, even going as far as forming a secret pact with Radda Manthys and all of Itala's enemies for a massive strike upon the Albion Marzullos, one that would cost many lives in the process.

Not much is known of the two years that separate the former events and the last space battle for Albion's fleet, but Tiranna survived and lost most of her children and husband, shattering her spirit and mind, making all of her plans useless.

Death

While attempting to seize the remaining ships of the Marzullo fleet, a battle broke out that destroyed all but two of the star destroyers, forcing Dante and company to flee to another hideout, but accidentally jump out of hyperspace by the Coruscant orbit. Imperials intercept and board Dante's vessel, killing Tiranna while attempting to delay them from capturing the rest of the survivors. While her death is a big loss to Dante's efforts, she manages to accomplish her task and the rest of the Marzullos successfully escape.

Needless to say, few stood a chance of defeating probably the most powerful Marzullo woman in the family, but her depression and tampering of her armor by Radda Manthys severely reduced her chances versus the Imperial forces led by Karl Valten.

Legacy

Tiranna went from just another Marzullo mother aging away in the shadows to being one of the main architects of Dante's revolution, wiping out most of the family during the course of only two years, what none could accomplish in thousands of years. While she has a change of heart during her final moments, few will remember her for being a noble and brave member of the family, whose personal issues and resentment allowed her to fall into the dark side.

Out of Character

Tiranna Marzullo is played by Julian also, having too many important plot points planned with the character.

See Itala Marzullo.

Trivia

  • By an astonishing coincidence, the three elder plotline had been created 6 years before the release of the Underworld movies, who share a very similar storyline with the vampire elders. As a return gesture, Julian uses the elder Viktor as the character image for Marcus and the elder Amelia as a character image for Tiranna Marzullo.
  • The concept of Tiranna is as old as TMC, brought forward for the move to SWFANS.
  • The reason Tiranna looks so young despite her children and age is because of an ancient tampering with the Marzullo genes, considerably slowing down the aging process, mostly for women.
